Responsibilities:
As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will:
- Follow security architecture guidelines and collaborate with cloud security teams to establish cloud-based architecture (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS)
- Lead the planning, design, and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms related to cloud computing
- Address moderately complex to complex issues through in-depth analysis and evaluation of variable factors
- Perform technical planning, architecture development, and modification of specifications for cloud computing environments
- Develop specifications for new IT cloud computing products and service offerings
- Assess the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies
- Influence department strategy and make decisions on technical approaches for project components
- Work in a small team focused on product engineering to define architecture, guide product engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of technical experience in cloud architecture, design, and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS architectures and their respective security considerations.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless computing.
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and compliance.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
- Strong understanding of network and infrastructure components, including load balancing, DNS, and VPNs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex situations or data to make informed decisions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to influence department strategy and make technical decisions with minimal supervision.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing.
- Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect are a plus.
