Identity and Access Management (IDAM) Engineer - Join a Special Access Program
We are looking for an experienced IDAM Engineer to support a federal special access program, playing a vital role in securing mission-critical systems. This role requires deep expertise in Identity and Access Management, from strategy and design through to implementation and operation. You will work directly with senior IT leaders to deliver secure, scalable IDAM solutions that meet both security and usability needs. Key Responsibilities
- Lead IDAM Solution Development
- Develop enterprise-level IDAM solutions by evaluating network design, proposing alternatives, and customizing configurations to ensure an ideal balance between security and usability.
- Work closely with federal clients, advising on the most effective configuration to align with both security requirements and user accessibility.
- Cybersecurity Architecture & Deployment
- Design and construct physical and logical architecture models for IDAM components, ensuring they are highly available, scalable, and meet mission needs.
- Support the deployment of end-to-end IDAM solutions, leveraging tools like OKTA, Sailpoint, Forgerock, and CyberArk.
- Conduct business use case analyses to implement IDAM solutions that meet customer requirements and stand up to advanced cyber threats.
- Customer Collaboration & Strategy Development
- Perform gap analyses of current IDAM systems, working with clients to design a future state roadmap and Target Operating Model.
- Provide hands-on consulting, project planning, and lifecycle support to federal clients, including regular project updates and status communications.
Required Skills

Clearance: Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Education: Bachelor’s degree required (4 years of relevant experience may substitute for this requirement; Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience also accepted).

Experience:
- 6+ years in federal or commercial IT, with at least 4 years in enterprise IDAM program implementations.
- 2+ years leading IDAM solution development.
- 4+ years building IDAM architectures that ensure availability, scalability, and security.
- 4+ years collaborating with federal clients for current-state analysis and future-state roadmap design.
- 4+ years in hands-on deployment with tools like OKTA, Sailpoint, Forgerock, and CyberArk.
- Knowledge of FICAM and experience in federal cybersecurity policies.
- Proven experience working on government contracts, with strong relationship-building skills.

- Excellent communication, analytical, and facilitation skills.
- Expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Desired Skills
- Experience authoring cybersecurity policies, strategies, and whitepapers.
- Familiarity with standards like HSPD-12, FIPS 201-2, FICAM, OMB 11-11, and others (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53).
- Knowledge of HTTP, XML, REST, or JSON.
- MS degree in IT, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
