Works closely with human resources, business, security, and information technology to grant proper access entitlements, ensuring the security of the organization's sensitive information or systems. Defines user roles and implements identity and access management tools within organizational systems and applications. Monitors permissions and grants/denies user access requests following the principle of least privilege. Checks for consistency and compliance across the organization. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
· Manage ticket queue and provision access requests or security changes as requested.
· Define processes and procedures for provisioning and removal of access.
· Escalates and notifies management of policy/procedure discrepancies and violations.
· Collaborate with management, privacy officer, and human resources to establish and maintain a system for ensuring that security and privacy policies are met.
· Creatively and independently provide resolution to security problems in a cost-effective manner.
· Provides appropriate guidance and training to associates on Ameris Bank security processes, procedures, applications, and networks.
· Work closely with IT and Security on corporate technology development to secure information, computer, network, and processing systems.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
· Excellent oral, written and analytical skills.
· Good Organizational skill and attention to detail.
· Participate in IAM use cases to evaluate, collect, and document IAM requirements and processes by collaborating with business stakeholders. Assist with incident escalation, enhancement requests, and evaluation of risk.
· Ability to adapt and manage frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
· Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the IAM processes.
· Involved in troubleshooting and resolving IAM issues.
· Participate in IAM projects and initiatives.
· Work with internal customers, business analysts, and application teams to understand access requirements.
· Involvement in documentation for the IAM program.
· Participate in IAM audits and review access control reports to identify potential risks.
· Ensure value delivery and encourage continuous improvement within the IAM program by translating a clear understanding of business needs into effective and efficient IAM processes and documentation of services
Industry and Work Experience:
· 0-2 years of related work experience in the Information Security or Information Technology.
Academic:
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Bachelor’ degree in technology, security or related field preferred.
