- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology preferred or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
- 2 – 4 years of data security or systems analysis experience required
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) preferred.
- Experience with the following: Windows, Azure, and M365/O365 Infrastructure background required.
- Experience with implementing and maintaining two factor authentication, VPN technology, internet proxy server, intrusion detection systems, data loss prevention systems, network analyzers, protocol analyzers, authentication server software, internet directory services software, network monitoring software, network security or VPN management software, transaction security software, virus protection software, SOX, HIPAA, or Change Management best practices preferred.
- Occasional travel up to 15% to correctional facilities, regional offices, client and/or vendor sites.
- Subject to after-hours work to meet deadlines.
- Excellent phone etiquette and oral communication skills.
A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.

Responsibilities
- Monitor, manage, and maintain all security systems and their corresponding or associated software, including SonicWall firewalls, intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems, and anti-virus software.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures and associated plans for system security administration and user system access based on industry-standard best practices.
- Advise, administer, and maintain proper security group structure for managing end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Work with vendors to monitor connection security for local area networks, the company Web site, the company intranet, and e-mail communications.
- Monitor and ensure the security of databases and data transferred both internally and externally.
- Implement and report on security system and end user activity audits.
- Monitor server logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection logs, and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity. Interpret activity and make recommendations for resolution.
- Schedule (where appropriate) and apply fixes, security patches, and any other measures required to minimize the risk of a breach.
- Assess the need for any security reconfigurations (minor or significant) and work with system owners to plan and execute any needed changes.
- Keep current with emerging security alerts, issues, products, and standards.
- Participate in implementation processes with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to obtain protection services and products.
- Download and test new security software and/or technologies.
- Schedule, and perform security improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases.
- Other duties as assigned.
