Position: AI/ML Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Engineer (Senior)
Overall Assignment Description: Senior-level Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) Engineers guide and conduct MS&A activities to support business stakeholders, analysts, and warfighters in defining and analyzing system and data requirements for timely and accurate GEOINT. This position focuses on providing technical advisory support for identifying capability gaps, tools, technologies, and agile methods in AI R&D, particularly verification of AI models.
Duties:
- Perform gap analysis and methodologies to assess the implications of AI and machine learning in defense and security applications.
- Assist in creating and leading Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Design of Experiments (DoE), Course of Actions (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
- Provide support in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.
- Analyze and automate existing systems, reviewing cloud service capabilities and workflow for enhancements.
- Use quantitative and qualitative analysis to ensure AI model assurance.
- Assist in developing AI Assurance capabilities, including eXplainable AI (XAI) and Independent Verification & Validation methodologies (IV&V).
- Collaborate with leaders, scientists, engineers, and contractors for advancing corporate AI strategies centered around Verified-AI (IV&V) and XAI.
Required Skills and Experience:
- US Citizenship and Top Secret SCI (TS/SCI) Security Clearance.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related STEM degree program, or equivalent senior-level experience as an MS&A Engineer.
- Demonstrated experience in AI Assurance, T&E or V&V-As-a-Service, and XAI.
- Demonstrated experience providing engineering solutions using Automation, Augmentation, and Artificial Intelligence technologies.
- Proficiency in computer programming languages such as Python, C++, Matlab, R, Java.
- Understanding of IV&V and the T&E status quo for AI models.
- 12+ Years Relevant Experience
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience working with NGA Enterprise solutions, including CI/CD pipeline and DevSecOps.
- Experience in SAFe framework and Model-Based Systems Engineering.
- Familiarity with Atlassian products such as Confluence and JIRA.
- Experience in engineering solutions using Cloud-based technologies.
- Experience in engineering solutions using structured and unstructured Big Data.
