Sr Linux / Oracle Systems Engineer
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Norwalk)

Summary:
This role provides senior-level technical customer support, solution delivery including: analysis, design, evaluation, configuration, installation, documentation, testing, training, and general support across the functional areas of the solution offerings.
Occasionally provides presales activities and proposal development support for the group. Acts as a customer technical advocate insuring timely responses to customer requests, issues, and concerns as it relates to project activities, sales, proposals, and/or marketing support. As a senior level team member integrates research, development, technical skills and sales techniques to successfully introduce new products and services or to revise existing product lines or services to customers. Understands and masters the features and benefits of our primary products and customer requirements.
- Experience in Environment Creation, Patch deployments, DB Support, Applications management, Conversion support, Monitoring and bug reporting.
- Troubleshooting issues in development, test, and production environments working with the concerned team.
- Configuration and Management of Infrastructure/Applications in Microsoft Azure Cloud and VMWare ESXi Platforms.
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Administration – Orchestrate the deployment, scaling and management of applications deployed in AKS.
- Designed and implemented monitoring and alerting solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, EFK stack and Nagios, resulting in improved observability and reduced downtime.
- Setting up Identity and authentication management using Azure AD, ADFS, LDAP, Okta, Keycloak, SAML and OIDC for MBIS applications.
- Installation, configuration and administration of JBoss and Tomcat application servers.
- Creating and managing VMs using VMware ESXI servers and vSphere client.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- 45% May lead or be a member of a team of engineers or related staff for customer support, maintaining ARS MBIS systems. Including the analysis, design, evaluation, configuration, installation, testing, training, and general support for the delivery of software, hardware and related services for our product offering as well as provide technical support to other engineers or project managers in the configuration, installation, training, and support of the product offerings.
- 30% Ability to analyze, diagnose, and solve complex technical systems issues related to our product offerings.
- 5% Provide technical support to sales for RFI/RFP/RFB technical responses, including system design documents, quotations, and presentations.
- 5% Lead the implementation of strategies and make concise recommendations to project managers, project staff and sales managers on technology factors for projects or project pursuits.
- 5% Assist other engineers, project managers, project staff, and sales staff in defining customer technical requirements and specifications for system/product design.
- 5% Works closely with analysts, development and the delivery teams to insure the product solution addresses current customer requirements and expectations.
- 5% Documents procedures, policies, proposals, specifications, implementations for project and sales staff to review.

Prerequisites:
Education: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University in Computer Science.
Experience: Ten plus years directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
Certifications:
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Certified.
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) Certified.
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Certified.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Language Skills: Excellent communication skills; fluent in English. Able to clearly and concisely explain complex situations to customers.
Reasoning Skills: Must be able to effectively analyze and troubleshoot complex problems using logic and methodical reasoning.

- Operating Systems: RHEL, Centos, Ubuntu, Debian, Oracle Linux, Windows.
- Cloud Solutions: Microsoft Azure.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Work Environment: Office environment, Server Rooms. May be required to be on-call for serious problem resolution
Noise: May experience short durations of loud servers/ambient noise.
Standing/Lifting: Regularly required to sit, occasionally required to lift/move servers or other hardware. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
Visual: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Occasional presentation may be necessary; computer and written documents.
Stress: Moderate, with occasional short duration periods of High stress. Must be able to work under tight deadlines, and mission critical uptime requirements
Travel: Moderate travel required.
Supervisory Responsibility, if any:
While not directly responsible for the supervision of other employees, this position does require the employee to direct and assist other engineers as necessary.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $111,000 - $145,000 with a target annual 10% bonus; depending upon the selected candidate’s relevant experience, the exact salary for the role may fall outside of this range. This role will also be eligible to participate in the Company’s bonus/incentive program(s).
