IT Systems Administrator I – Job Description

As an IT Systems Administrator I, you will provide information technology IT systems administration and maintenance services for the TM Cobb and Haley bros company critical business systems and service operations while collaborating with other IT team personnel to ensure security, performance, availability, and resilience of company-wide operations through installation, configuration, setup, and troubleshooting servers, software, systems, and tools physical, virtual and cloud-based systems and services.
Ensure users, devices and systems security and efficient operations for the companies eight (BP, RS, SB, SC, SK, RJ, RV, CC) physical locations, as well as the hybrid/cloud service systems and tools. Work closely with IT personnel and employees to update systems, address security breaches and help troubleshoot issues. Provide planning and documentation for problematic situations creating procedures to restore company systems to full functionality. Use coding skills to optimize and automate most administrative activities. Participate as a level II technical resource in IT Special Projects (product rollouts, migrations, maintenance, upgrades, systems updates).

Duties and responsibilities:
• Hybrid systems monitoring and maintenance (configuration, operation, network servers, virtualization, and cloud)
• New account setup and Active Directory administration (AD & AAD)
• Optimize, report, administer, and maintenance of hybrid systems (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, BaaS, DBaaS)
• Troubleshoot Level II or III technical issues.
• Create and implement technical training for end-users.
• Provide support for Firewall and network systems.
• Provide Microsoft 365 support and administration.
• Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT team for planning, maintaining, implementation, and upgrading of hybrid IT infrastructure.
• Provide VMware Hypervisor vSphere and vCenter Administration.
• Ensure all systems are secure and protected from breach or viruses.
• Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement the appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
• Manage least privilege access and Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.
• Administer and manage end-user, service, and systems credentials and frameworks.
• Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting on systems performance, availability, security and resilience.
• Act as lead (Level II, III, or Senior) for desktop and Helpdesk support efforts.
• Design, implement, and ensure optimal systems performance and utilization.
• Provide capacity planning and performance administration.
• Participate in risk mitigation planning and optimization efforts.
