Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the information security strategy.
- Create security standards for firewalls, wireless access, other network devices, servers, systems, applications, and databases.
- Monitor security risk, troubleshoot problem areas as needed, and communicate security risks and solutions to business partners and IT staff.
- Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security software and equipment.
- Assist in the coordination and completion of information security operations documentation.
- Report to management concerning residual risk, vulnerabilities and other security exposures, including misuse of information assets and noncompliance.
- Advise security administrators on normal and exception-based processing of security authorization requests.
- Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, identify control weaknesses, assess the effectiveness of existing controls, and recommend remedial action.
- Provide assistance to other team members where required.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- High School diploma or GED
- Knowledge of Information Technology and/or IT Security
Additional Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of network security, cryptography, encryption algorithms, and application and database security
- Basic working knowledge of authentication and access control, and operations and security monitoring tools
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, or related field

Compensation: This includes base wage and may consist of other earnings depending upon position within CHS, consisting of bonuses, incentives, commissions, merit pay. This position may be an opportunity for promotion.
