How will your talents be utilized?
- Maintain and support mission critical network components (MPLS based WAN, multicast, redundant internet connectivity across carriers, VxLan, load balancers, wireless and firewalls)
- Troubleshoot complex issues impacting the business.
- Contribute to the documentation, operational procedures and knowledge base of NetOps team.
- Follow change process and documentation requirements.
- Remain current on new products, services, protocols, and standards to design and develop supported systems and support critical project implementations.
- Assess need for any system optimization or remediation, make recommendations, and execute them as required.
Experience & Qualifications
- Professional level IT industry or vendor certification Cisco CCNA or equivalent verifiable experience
- At least 6 years of experience troubleshooting mid to large, (200+ data network devices) technically complex networking environments (redundant WAN & internet)
- Demonstrated experience in following operational processes and adherence to KPI and SLAs
- Knowledge of and experience supporting complex critical data network components in-house including routers, switches (Cisco Nexus 9000), OSPF, WAN, , firewalls, wireless
- Experienced utilizing ITSM platforms such as Remedy or Service Now
- Demonstrate ability to successfully communicate and interact with internal and external parties including Telecom carriers re WAN EPL, MPLS and DIA circuits
- Prior experience managing a small team of engineers
Nice to haves
- Prior experience supporting in-house MPLS (LDP, MPiBGP), complex QoS, VxLan, Netscaler load balancers, Checkpoint Firewalls
- Prior Experience using Solarwinds network management tools
