Cutting Edge Recruiting Solutions (CERS) is looking to hire a Network Engineer for a client in Boca Raton, FL to ensure the stability and integrity of data, video, voice over IP and wireless network services of the organization. This role will involve planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), network security (firewalls, IDS, NAC). In addition, other duties of the position include:

Lead and participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links, and routing protocols

Monitor, analyze, and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion
-
Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes
-
Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation
-
Provide end user training where required
Job requirements:

5 – 7+ years of related experience and advanced knowledge of TCP/IP and advanced switching, routing, firewall, load-balancing, wireless, and security concepts

Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards

Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience

Knowledge of and experience with Cisco product line, including routers (28/29xx, 38/39xx, 72xx), switches (Catalyst and NEXUS), firewalls (ASA/PIX) and UCS platforms

Knowledge of SNMP, RMON, ping, traceroute, nslookup, and other network management protocols, utilities, and topics
