How You Can Join Us
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our Team immediately for a position as aNetwork Engineer. Must hold active DoD security clearance (TS/SCI) and be willing to work 100% onsite (Fort Liberty).
Primary Functions:
Support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). Under the I2TS 4 task order INSCOM ensures reliable, uninterrupted availability of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) including: networks, hardware, software, engineering, and specialized tools at the point of customer need to support INSCOMs mission. INSCOM and its MSCs provide the enabling layer to connect the Army and its tactical formations to defense and national intelligence agencies via tactical networks. The ability to provide mission critical intelligence is dependent on the successful use of its information technology (IT) networks worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Have Strong Knowledge: Routing & Switching systems with Cisco and Brocade Experience
- Provide Engineering enterprise data, voice and video networks
- Maintain a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks
- Interact with vendors, the Government, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation, optimization and ongoing management
- Collaborate with network staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes
- Correspond with executive team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues
- Provide high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WAN hardware, switches, bridges and routers
- Understand: Routing Protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and Gateway Redundancy Protocols (HSRP, VRRP, GLRP)
- Have Working Knowledge: MPLS (L3VPN and L2 services), Virtual LANs and Trunking (VLANs), STP and VTP; Network Security (ACLs, IPSec Tunnels); Multicast - and how to properly implement
- Have In-depth understanding of networking systems & TCP/IP - including experience in IP Addressing & Subnetting, Network Address Translations, MTU, QoS and implementation
Qualifications/Experience:
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while still ensuring high quality of work
- Highly organized with strong ability to prioritize work and work autonomously
- Completed CCNP Routing and Switching
- Knowledge and experience with VoIP/collaboration systems
- Knowledge and experience with HAIPE-based encryption devices
- Knowledge of Virtualization technologies: VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft
- Knowledge and experience with data center networking
- Experience with firewalls and firewall rule sets
- Understanding of network virtualization
- Understanding of concepts presented in the VMware Data Center Virtualization Fundamentals course
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education/Certifications:
- High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years of experience, or Bachelors Degree with 6 years of experience, or Masters Degree with 4 years of experience
- IAT II 8570 Baseline Certification Sec+ CE or equivalent/higher
- Required Computing Environment certification: CCNA/CCNP
Clearance:
- TS/SCI required
- Additional: Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract.
