Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a System Analyst – Network Technology to join their team. As a Systems Analyst – Network Technology, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and support of both local and wide area networks, ensuring seamless data flows within our Internal and Operational Technology networks. Working collaboratively with a cross-functional team, you will lead technical initiatives, engage with vendors and stakeholders, and oversee project activities throughout their life cycle. This role involves continuous improvement and technical support of the network infrastructure, including day-to-day network administration tasks, problem-solving, and issue resolution.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage local and wide area networks to optimize data flow for Information and Operational Technology Systems.
Configure network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Provide day-to-day network operations support, addressing and resolving issues promptly.
Resolve complex multi-vendor network issues (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet).
Collaborate with Carriers to address data transport issues.
Perform patching and cyber security hardening of network infrastructure.
Implement policies and procedures in asset tracking, information protection, change management, security monitoring, controls, and recovery to ensure compliance with internal cyber security standards and NERC CIP.
Manage and secure interactive remote access.
Support storm restoration efforts.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field. Alternatively, an Associate’s Degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma with at least 7 years of experience in Information/Operational Technology.
Experience with local and wide area transport (MPLS, IPSec).
Proficiency in managing networking vendor platforms (Fortigate, Cisco, Palo, F5) including firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.
Experience with IP routing in complex networks (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, route redistribution).
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, and adapt to changing priorities.
Well-developed written/verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
Ability to learn new technologies using available resources.
Availability for off-hours and weekend work as required for product upgrades and on-call rotation assignments.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred:
Experience designing, evaluating, and deploying network solutions for outbound and inbound network traffic.
Familiarity with Aviat/Coriant network equipment.
Experience with configuring routing protocols (BGP, MP-BGP, VRF).
System integration experience, including strategy development and implementation of best practices.
Working knowledge of NAC solutions (Cisco ISE).
Proficiency in troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, Solarwinds, and Netflow.
Technical understanding and/or working knowledge of supporting large application systems.
Ability to perform packet capture and analysis.
Prior experience in the gas and/or electric utility sector.
