What You'll Need to Succeed:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent/relevant experience
- 3-5 years of related experience
Additional Capabilities and Proficiencies:
- An excitement about WBUR's mission to provide an essential public good: high quality journalism and enriching experiences that foster understanding, connection and community
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of network protocols and technologies, operating systems, and system administration tools
- Experience with network management tools and software
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for network monitoring and security
- Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with other IT staff and users to identify and resolve network-related issues
- Strong customer service and communication skills, ability to remain calm and patient under pressure
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users in a clear and understandable way
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Specific experience required:
- Experience with systems and user management within an active directory environment
- Office 365 applications
- SharePoint and One Drive
- Google Suite of applications
- Kace desktop management or equivalent
- Cisco VoIP including Jabber and WebEx desktop applications
- Cisco networking hardware
- Adobe Creative Suite including Audition
- Jamf
- Helpdesk application experience
- Microsoft desktop and server operating systems
- Hyper-V
- Apple operating systems
