We're looking for a DCS Controls Engineer to join our team in Waco, TX! This position will focus on executing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. The position requires above average attention to detail, concern for the correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time. The person in this position will take work seriously, have a strong sense of duty, and is disciplined. The position will generally be task oriented, requiring someone with a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to work.
General Job Duties:
- Performing process and equipment automation services to meet client needs, with a specific focus on DCS and PLC control systems design and implementation.
- Facility support, consult with, and training of end users on new applications
- Assisting in project development and planning
- The location of the position is Waco, TX (Required 4 to 8 weeks training in Kalamazoo,MI)
- Position requires independent travel to customer locations
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field (ChE, EE, EET, ME, MET or comparable), or an equivalent combination of experience and training may also be considered.
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience with:
- Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Allen Bradley programming, including PLCs and HMI systems
- Control Systems implementation, design, installs, testing and troubleshooting
- Experience with industrial application programming languages
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block
- Paper industry experience strongly preferred
- Valmet DNA experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided.

The target annual base compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $166,000, based upon relevant qualifications.
