Position Name: System Administrator
Location (City/State/Zip Code): Colorado Springs, CO
BESL is seeking a qualified System Administrator with duties on-site in Colorado Springs, CO.? The system administrator is responsible for the internal or customer administration, maintenance, and management of capacity resources for computers at the operating system and infrastructure level.? The system administrator builds, configures, troubleshoots, and integrates new and existing servers to provide service enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure upgrades.? Additionally, the system administrator recommends software and hardware enhancements, diagnoses, and corrects issues, defines and implements new services with the goal of achieving maximum server uptime and availability for customers.? Finally, the system administrator is responsible for providing help desk phone support and conduct action item ticket management.?

Position requires the following:
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Linux/Unix/Microsoft environment
- Red Hat RHCSA certification or completion within 6 months of employment
- Minimum 2 years of experience with helpdesk operations or application management
- Experience implementing or operating within DoD technical security concepts and practices such as STIGs, ACAS, Splunk, and SCC
- Knowledge of principles of data flow (e.g., TCP/IP, OSI model)
- Experience in providing system administration support to both physical and virtual machines
- Able to perform physical and virtual machine image backups and restoration
- Experience implementing patches, scanning, remediating findings, and auditing
- Experience with virtualization (KVM, Ansible, VMWare hypervisor/vSphere v6.5)
- Experience with account management in Red Hat IdM (FreeIPA)
- Experience conducting server maintenance and server component replacement
- Experience with Splunk log analysis for cybersecurity or preventive maintenance opportunities
- DOD 8570.01M IAT 2 Certification
- Security+ CE
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to achieve and maintain a DOD Security clearance
Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of RMF and cybersecurity requirements
- Experience working with UHF antennas and RF environment
- Experience in the management of directory services (LDAP), interfaces and middleware.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (ACAS, SCC, etc.)
- Experience with supporting DoD/government customers
- Ability to work and grow in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to support critical operations during standard, and on occasion, non-standard working hours
- DOD 8570.01M IAT Level 3 Certification
- CISSP, CISA, CCNP Security
Education/Certifications:
- 2 years post-Secondary schooling/Associates Degree and minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Bachelors’ Degree and minimum 1 years relevant experience or
- Graduate Degree and minimum 6 months relevant experience
- Red Hat RHCSA and DoD 8570.01M IAT I (Security+) equivalent certification within 6 months of employment

Pay Data (Range): $80,000 - $110,000
