We are a Managed Service Provider (MSP) located in Pasadena, CA, focused on delivering high-quality IT and cybersecurity services to our clients across Southern California. We provide comprehensive managed IT, cybersecurity, and consulting services, aiming to simplify complex IT challenges for small to mid-sized businesses.
Job Summary
The Business Technology Advisor will be responsible for driving business growth by developing and maintaining strong client relationships and helping clients understand the value of our Managed IT and cybersecurity services. This role involves identifying customer needs, presenting solutions, and managing long-term client engagements. This role combines sales expertise, technical understanding, and consultative skills to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
**Sales and Business Development:** Lead efforts to identify and secure new business opportunities for Managed IT Services, Managed Cybersecurity Services, IT consulting, and project-based services within the Southern California SMB market.
**Client Engagement:** Act as the primary point of contact for prospective clients, providing clarity and value on complex IT and cybersecurity topics.
**Marketing Collaboration:** Assist in executing the annual marketing plan, including event planning, updating content, and managing thought leadership and branding initiatives.
**Product and Service Development:** Contribute to the creation of new managed service packages and enhancement of cybersecurity service offerings.
**Consultative Sales:** Conduct assessments, present cybersecurity evaluations, and close new client engagements that meet customer needs.
**Relationship Management:** Develop and maintain relationships with key client contacts, acting as a trusted advisor on IT and cybersecurity solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
**Experience:** Minimum of 5 years in sales or business development in IT services, preferably within an MSP or cybersecurity-focused company.
**Proven Track Record:** Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales goals, with experience in building monthly recurring revenue.
**Technical Knowledge:** Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity assessments, cloud hosting, Microsoft 365, and SaaS solutions.
**Marketing Skills:** Experience with event planning, disruptive marketing campaigns, and content creation (e.g., webinars, email marketing, website updates).
**Interpersonal Skills:** Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to simplify and present complex information to clients.
**Certifications:** ConnectWise Cybersecurity Sales Fundamentals or equivalent certification preferred.
Education
**Bachelor’s degree in a related field; additional sales training from recognized institutions or Fortune 500 companies is a plus.
