Web Developer and IT Support Specialist will assist the customer in planning, developing, and maintaining the BIM Information Technology (IT) infrastructure at the Naval Reactors Facility (NRF) site. You will provide on-site IT support to the BIM team for the types of tasks listed below. This work does not include doing any physical IT work such as hardware installation or maintenance, network installation or maintenance, etc.
Responsibilities:
The tasks will be completed under the direction of the NRF technical organization cognizant of the contract. IMG IT Support Specialists are required to adhere to all applicable Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) workplace safety and IT policy requirements while on site.
Work tasks required in the scope include but are not limited to the following list:
- Installation and administration of Esri ArcGIS Indoors servers and software
- Creation and management of a BIM information website and end-user interface using Microsoft SharePoint, C#.net, and Visual Studios (VS) Code.
- Develop streamlined BIM data acquisition and management processes
- Build BIM data interface to allow users to submit, review, and retrieve facility data
- Build and maintain Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server databases with BIM data
- Deploy Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) BIM-specific software updates and patches
- Investigate need for new servers for BIM data including reality capture scans and BIM models. Develop specifications and requirements and advise BIM leads to acquire, install, setup, and manage new server(s).
- Assist the FMP BIM team in developing schedules and milestones for completing BIM IT-related work.
Desired Experience:
Junior IT Support Specialist must possess a background in some of the following IT skillsets:
- Web development
- SharePoint knowledge
- BIM experience and/or familiarity
- Familiarity with Defense Information System Agency, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Basic programming skills
- Data analytics and experience to draw conclusions and help decision making
- Network security, cybersecurity, and information assurance principles
- Computer diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Software configuration and deployment
- Ability to communicate effectively with different end-users and their level of technical knowledge
Specific training on Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) systems and processes will be provided as required.
