Required Skills Needed to be Considered:
- Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
- Knowledge of international industry standards and regulations related to cybersecurity (e.g. FIPS, Common Criteria), regulatory compliance (FCC, CE) and industry certifications (UL).
- Preference for strong focus on global digital security and identification product solutions development experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in engineering (to include extensive team leadership for teams - whether direct or indirect - of 20)
- Proven track record of successful leadership and management of engineering teams on an international scale, driving technical excellence and innovation
- Proven track record of developing highly performant projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Deep knowledge of both software, firmware and hardware development processes
- This role oversees hardware engineering, firmware engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering & Quality teams
- This role also oversees web / cloud application development and DevOps / IAC
- Proven experience in software delivery, DevOps, CI/CD and IaC practices
- Proven experience with public cloud providers, particularly AWS and/or Azure
- Strong understanding of Cloud Native architecture and scaling
- All with an eye for delivering secure solutions (spanning hardware, software & cloud)
- Expertise in digital security technologies, secure hardware design, authentication protocols, and encryption methods
- Strong understanding of product design and architecture concepts and their integration with hardware and software systems
- Demonstrated ability to review and contribute to product specifications and architecture especially for hardware product certification/testing according to regulatory standards
- Demonstrated ability to work across technologies and disciplines
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse cultural backgrounds
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align engineering initiatives with global business goals and varying market demands
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a global context
- Proven ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic international environment and manage multiple global priorities
Compensation depends on experience but is typically $200 - 250K. Unfortunately there's no bonus or equity offered at this time. We are willing to send qualified candidates over budget!
