Overview
The Network Administrator requires strong technical and communication skills, attention to detail with organizational abilities, and is responsible for the Company’s computer infrastructure, including but not limited to the following specific responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provides technical support to user group – sets up/configuration of computers, printers, etc.
Manages & maintains network infrastructure - ensuring optimal performance and security
Manages & supports servers, storage resources and hardware/software upgrades and installation
Assists in training users on network usage, security protocols, and best practices
Microsoft Entra and 365 administrations (licensing, 2FA settings, etc.)
Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats
Performs diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems
Documents processes, as well as backing up and archiving data
Works collaboratively to develop data retrieval and recovery procedures
Keeps up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration
Manages and executes tasks in IT Compliance
Supports coordination, performance and testing of IT systems and controls for SOX compliance
Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure and architecture of computer systems as well as exposure to a variety of platforms such as operating systems, networks, databases, and ERP systems
General knowledge of standard cyber control frameworks, including NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF), NIST 800.171, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), and SOX ITGC control framework
Acts as the main point of contact/interface with MSP
- Ability to work on multiple projects, balancing a mix of resources, due dates, and requirements
Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Skills/Abilities
Dell PowerEdge/Server knowledge
Basic understanding of Aruba switches
Excellent customer service skills - responsible for desktop support for 125+ workstations
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Infor SyteLine experience a plus
SonicWall firewall a plus
.NET Programming a plus
MS SQL a plus
(Microsoft Server 2019, Windows 10 & 11, user account management, DHCP, DNS, GPO)
