We prefer to hire a candidate for our Atlanta office; however, we are open to hiring remote for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Design & Development: Lead the design and engineering of advanced building control systems that align with sustainability goals and industry best practices. Oversee the integration of building automation, IT networks, and systems integration.

Project Leadership: Lead multiple complex projects from concept through completion. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, in-house engineers, and clients, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet all quality standards.

Mentorship & Guidance: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. Review and refine work produced by junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth and innovation.

Innovation & Problem-Solving: Stay ahead of industry trends and technologies. Incorporate new technologies into project designs to enhance functionality and efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in building control systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Subject Matter Expert: Strong background in building controls technology with a proven track record in leading and managing complex projects.

Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor, guide, and inspire a team. Experience in coordinating and managing multidisciplinary project teams.

Extensive experience and understanding of building mechanical and electrical systems functionality, building operations, and commissioning best practices.

Strong Tridium Niagara enterprise level integration experience with multiple industry communication protocols and open API’s.

Ability to work closely with client IT departments coordinating network design and applying clients IT policies for securing the IT network infrastructure.

Thorough understanding of building automation systems, IT networks, cybersecurity, and systems integration. Proficient with Revit and other industry-standard tools.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent field expertise with ten+ (10+) years’ field experience

Extensive experience in controls design, preferably within an MEP firm.

Extensive experience with multiple DDC BACnet IP Controls products

Proven expertise with Revit and other relevant tools. Experience with large-scale projects is a plus.

Tridium Niagara Enterprise Expertise in multiple verticals inclusive of Higher Ed, Life Science, Healthcare and CRE
