Job Description:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Telecom System Administrator to support and analyze the telephone and data communications environments of one of its customers in the Federal Government.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform client and desktop assistance. Includes responding to phone calls, emails, and direct customer contacts; entering and managing technical support incidents in a ticketing system; troubleshooting, identifying, and resolving problems.
Enter all tickets into the FootPrints help desk. Manage all service requests and incidents in a timely manner with clear, concise information.
Support Windows 7 to 10 migration and full administration of Windows 10 and all common desktop applications and related common hardware issues. Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving Tier 1 support issues via phone, email, remote desktop and on site is required.
Work with ArcGIS, Adobe products, Microsoft Office products, Macintosh computers, Linux, and PhP.
Manage virtual LANs/VLAN between the Service and the classroom public networks.
Maintain database systems for either an on premise solution or migration to and management of a cloud solution.
Performs all NIST Framework Cybersecurity documentation with both types of data systems.
Serve as the primary support technician for all desktop or secondary data systems including but not limited to Microsoft Access (deer hunt, acquisition log), .SSRS scripted employee survey (pulse check), survey tools, personal property supply management system WASP, Micros Point-of-sale, Aramark Star, Discovery Nature APP, .SSRS
Calendar, Division SharePoint sites, corporate Websites, etc.
Perform data systems backup, redundancy, and multi-route access.
Skills and Experience:
3-5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator with network and telecom experience
Experience with various database and COTS products to maintain and provide user support
Strong working experience with Windows 7 and 10 OS environments
Experience in GIS concepts and application understanding.

Must be able to attain/maintain Public Trust clearance (preference for pre-existing clearances)
Bachelor’s in computer science or comparable degree
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate across the organization
Strong troubleshooting skills
Must have a positive team player attitude
Must be organized and detail-oriented
Willingness to learn and/or improve new technologies, tools etc.
Previous exposure to a mixed team (gov./contractor) will help
Ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner
