As VP of Technology, you will provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of our business. You will communicate with employees, stakeholders and customers to ensure our company’s technologies are used appropriately. Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors. Utilize strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. We expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts.

- Strategy:
- Develop and execute a technology strategy that aligns with the company's business goals.
- Engage in the technology assessment process, gap analysis and drive strategy.
- Lead the long-term planning for application infrastructure and support.
- Innovation:
- Drive technological innovation and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
- Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage.
- Technology management:
- Oversee the technical aspects of the organization, including systems architecture, software development, and network infrastructure.
- Research the latest technologies and trends and how they might benefit the company.
- Application Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of business application development from selection and implementation to maintenance and decommissioning.
- Ensure applications are scalable, secure, and meet compliance requirements.
- Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency.
- Resolve highly complex or unusual business problems using advanced critical thinking.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of application software based on development standards, to ensure business needs are met with quality and adherence to best practices.
- Oversee the response to user support requests, ensuring high levels of user satisfaction and system performance.
- Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance.
• Stakeholder Management:
- Foster strong relationships with technology teams and business partners to ensure satisfaction.
- Help departments use technology profitably.
- Negotiate with senior leaders across the business and influence the opinions of others within the business unit and in external organizations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations and provide regular updates on project status.
- Collaborate with other C-suite executives, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology.
- Vendor and Contract Management:
- Establish and maintain high-level relationships with software vendors and service providers, ensuring periodic vendor reviews.
- Negotiate major contracts and ensure vendor performance aligns with company standards.
- Budgeting:
- Develop and maintain the IT budget.
- Compliance:
- Stay updated on regulations, industry standards, codes and collaborate with legal counsel and cybersecurity experts to safeguard sensitive information.
- Build quality assurance and data protection processes.
- Training:
- Communicate technical topics in easy-to-understand business terms.
- Oversee training programs for technology professional.
- Mentor employees and managers to ensure smooth technical rollouts.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Technology, Business Application Development or similar leadership role
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
- Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
- Understanding of budgets and business-planning
- Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
- Excellent communication skills
