Position Title: Systems Administrator I
Compensation: Full-time Exempt (E48)

Scope & Responsibilities of Systems Administrator I: (Not limited to)
The Systems Administrator I will be reporting to the Network, Systems, and Cybersecurity Manager. Under regular supervision, this role will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, applications, system appliances, and other hardware. This role will need to monitor performance, diagnose problems, and implement solutions to the infrastructure and hardware as needed. This job will be split between backend system management and client assistance and help as well. This job also consists of being a part of the Cybersecurity Incident Response Team helping to react, triage, and remediate any Cybersecurity issues if they come up. Role will also be involved in ensuring that the Cybersecurity Incident Response plan is maintained and strengthened over time.
- Builds, Updates, troubleshoots and maintains client hardware systems.
- Trains employees on hardware and software systems
- One of the primary support contacts and solves daily user issues.
- Cleans and maintains equipment.
- Reviews and validates data.
- Implement and support cloud-based systems including but not limited to: Email, Mobile Device Management, Spam Filtering, Awareness Training, and Microsoft Azure
- Perform and maintain backup systems critical to the business to preserve data assets
- Utilizing scripting tools like Microsoft Powershell to automate and efficiently manage systems
- Manage Active Directory, including Group Policy Management, User and Group management, and Domain Administration management
- Develop and maintain documentation related to infrastructure, including specifications, policies, and procedures while working with departments to grant the necessary permissions and access they need only
- Research, Evaluate, and implement enterprise hardware and software solutions, systems-based projects, and upgrades
- Implement, Maintain, and Support physical and virtual servers (Including OS Support, Patching, and Third-party software maintenance)
- Implement, Maintain, and Support the network infrastructure of switches, routers, firewalls, and other appliances.
- Participate and help coordinate planning and organization of network infrastructure upgrades and future utilization.
- Monitor and react to network and server performance utilization to maintain uptime of critical business systems and infrastructure
- Work side by side with interns, help desk technicians, and system engineer technicians.
- Escalation support for System Technicians
- Responsible for Planning, Implementing Managing, and Maintaining Datacenter and network rack technologies (including but not limited to Servers, Network Infrastructure, and Power)

Education & Experience for Systems Administrator I:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology; 1-3 years prior work experience.
Other Qualifications of Systems Administrator I:
- Support Cybersecurity Software packages and partners (including Endpoint Protection, Firewall, SIEM, DLP, and others)
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities and makes recommendations to IT Managers
- Prepare and present recommendations for systems enhancements and/or modifications
- Technical role as part of the Cybersecurity Incident Response Team
- Analyzing, Reporting, and Responding to detected Cyber Incidents
- Maintains Cybersecurity Monitoring Operations
- Proactively monitoring environment using available tools
- Assist with planning and designing security solutions
- Assisting in enhancing existing procedures of CyberSecurity Incident Response Plan
- Participate in continuous education to stay on top of the latest technologies and security risks
- Provide Helpdesk Assistance to End Users
