- Bachelors degree in medical laboratory science, medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or a related science (i.e. biology, chemistry, etc.) AND completion of an accredited medical technology clinical practice program (i.e. NAACLS, CAAHEP, ABHES)
- Current certification/registration as determined by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologist (AMT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- A minimum of one (1) year of Medical Technologist experience within the last five (5) years
- Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory medicine techniques and practices
- Demonstrated education and clinical training in the practice of laboratory medicine
- Medical Lab Technician Certification - Preferred
All candidates must be able to:
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
