We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) to support our cybersecurity efforts within the PEO Digital Package Submitting Office (PSO) team. This role is crucial in ensuring secure and compliant systems for the Department of the Navy, focusing on cloud technology and cybersecurity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Standardization: Conduct quality assurance reviews for RMF Steps 2, 4, and 5, ensuring compliance with the Navy Risk Management Framework (RMF) Process Guide and SCA Risk Assessment Guide.

Cloud Authorization Support: Provide expertise on Navy Cloud authorizations, including DoD Cloud Computing SRG, Cloud Service Models, Impact Levels, DISA Provisional Authorizations, and FedRAMP.

Collaboration & Coordination: Partner with Information System Security Engineers (ISSE), Information System Security Managers (ISSM), PSO, SCA Liaisons, and the Navy Authorizing Official (NAO) to manage security authorization packages and address issues effectively.

Vulnerability Testing & Mitigation: Work closely with ISSE to perform vulnerability assessments (e.g., ACAS, STIGS) and recommend remediation and mitigation strategies.

Control Assessment & Evidence Review: Evaluate control assessments to verify compliance and ensure adequate evidence supports each control.

Cloud Technology Guidance: Offer technical expertise on cloud technologies and provide direction on specific requirements to ensure secure implementations.

eMASS Authorization Reviews: Utilize Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) for thorough and compliant authorization reviews.

Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience

Experience: At least 3 years of applied cybersecurity experience within the Department of the Navy, focusing on Assessment and Authorization (A&A).

Certification: Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) certification in good standing
