Our team is looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Systems Engineer with a background in architecting cybersecure cloud-based solutions who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this position, you will be a leading member of a talented Agile engineering team supporting the development of critical mission applications for the space community as a member of Parsons’ Space Operations directorate. You will be responsible for spearheading our government assessment and authorization efforts as well as enforcing the security and hardening of the system’s components. This role is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $15,000.
This position is located in Colorado Springs and requires working in the office at least 3 days per week.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, or an engineering field with at least 10 years technical experience. Additional relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree
- Aptitude in developing and maintaining Information Assurance policies and providing program policy compliance / oversight while reporting findings to program management
- Ability to manage the functionality and efficiency of systems running one or more operating systems (Windows / Linux) while maintaining the integrity and security of the system
- Experience in both assessing and implementing STIGs / SRGs as well as vendor hardening guidance
- Knowledge and experience with both VMware virtualized environments as well as cloud-based environments (AWS / Azure)
- Practical experience with creation, implementation, and execution of patch management policies and procedures, covering a multitude of operating systems and hardware devices
- Ability to lead a team of cybersecurity systems engineers to obtain and maintain relevant authorization approvals (ATO / CTF) including interfacing with independent third party assessment teams
- Great interpersonal and communications skills in both spoken and written English, while establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with team members
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II+ certification (Security+, CISSP, etc.) or ability to rapidly obtain
- Must be a US Citizen due to government contract
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
Desired Skills
- Experience with both creation and maintenance of authorization relevant documentation (SSP, CONOPS, PPSM, POA&M, etc.)
- Experience conducting SCAP compliance testing as well as vulnerability scans of systems to determine security compliance
- Experience implementing and managing ePO, including policy creation and troubleshooting compatibility / performance issues
- Existing TS security clearance with DCID eligibility

Salary Range:
