Summary:
This role willbe responsible for overseeing all insurance-related workstreams across our corporate business and consumer-facing immersive entertainment venues. This role involves managing risk related to insurance, ensuring compliance, and optimizing our insurance coverage to protect our assets and interests. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the insurance industry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to support our business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive insurance programs for corporate operations and consumer facing immersive entertainment venues.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate coverage levels and types of insurance policies, including property, liability, workers' compensation, and specialty insurance for our business needs.
- Collaborate with insurance brokers and internal stakeholders to assess insurance needs based on the scope of operations, potential risks, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that insurance policies are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect changes in operations, regulations, or risk profiles.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance-related inquiries and claims, liaising between the company and insurance providers to expedite resolution.
- Provide guidance and support to venue teams regarding insurance-related matters, including claims reporting and risk mitigation strategies.
- Oversee the claims process, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of claims.
- Work with insurers, brokers, and legal teams to manage complex claims and disputes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant insurance regulations and standards.
- Prepare and present regular reports on insurance coverage, claims status, and risk management activities to senior management.
- Manage relationships with insurance brokers, carriers, and other external partners.
- Negotiate insurance policy terms and renewals to achieve the best possible outcomes for the company.
- Stay informed on emerging risks, such as cybersecurity threats, and adapt insurance programs accordingly.
- Assess and integrate technology-related insurance considerations for immersive entertainment experiences.
- Develop strategies for managing international insurance programs and compliance with multi-jurisdictional regulations.
Experience:
- Education - Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience -A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in insurance management, preferably within the entertainment or hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance policies and risk management practices.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Professional certification such as ARM (Associate in Risk Management) or CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) is a plus.
The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $140,000 to $185,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
