The Manager of IT role at EquipmentShare will focus on defining, overseeing, and managing our technology infrastructure. This role involves ensuring that all the technology systems, networks, and infrastructure are reliable, secure, and scalable to meet the organization's needs for the common foundational Industrial technology strategy for the company.
Key goals of the Manager of IT include expanding and ensuring availability in all regions, improving software delivery efficiency and product resiliency, and optimizing compute and network costs. This aims to ensure that Equipmentshare’s technology infrastructure supports its operations and growth while maintaining high levels of security and efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities
- Leading the strategy, planning, and execution of the ES Information technology roadmap
- Defining, evolving, and implementing ES Architectural Principles.
- Research global technology trends and their applicability to EquipmenShare’s capabilities.
- Define and implement self-service software to drive efficient software development practices.
- Maintaining strong relationships with key customers, partners, and vendors.
- Partnering closely with business leaders across functions to identify and prioritize the company’s goals.
- Evaluates vendor cost and quality of services.
- Work with security to implement resources securely.
- Manage infrastructure lifecycles.
- Communicate and validate product architecture with peers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Lead the design and implementation of system architecture and interfaces using industry best practices.
- Develop reporting metrics, dashboards, and status reports, including performance against SLAs.
- Ensure the needed level of infrastructure diagrams and documentation are produced and maintained.
- Lead the development of a library of deployable and documented scripts, processes, and procedures for cloud migration and operational tasks.
- Plan and execute the IT Infrastructure OPEX and CAPEX budget
- Contribute to the design, documentation, and testing of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning as required.
- Forecast system demands and recommends upgrades, expansions, and reconfigurations.
- Assist the team with project planning and other large collaboration efforts while fostering an environment of open communication and problem-solving.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to obtain and translate requirements into technical implementations.
- Experience with cloud services for DevOps, networking, security, data, and storage.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- At least 10+ years of experience delivering business-critical IT infrastructure and IT physical security, including design, administration, implementation, and management experience.
- At least 5+ years of experience in large, cross-functional teams influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization.
- Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure and cybersecurity.
- Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- A strong strategic and business mindset.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth experience working with technologies including Microsoft Azure, .Net, SQL Server, Web Services, REST APIs, etc.
