Job Summary:Alluvionic is seeking a
Marine Vehicle Maintenance Support Specialist for an on-site role at an Air Force facility in Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral, FL. This vital position supports the 1st Air Force and acts as a liaison between NASA, United States Space Command, the Air Force, and the Navy. Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing vehicle maintenance support for the Rescue Equipment Package including mechanical support equipment, trailers and watercraft. Mission equipment packages are located at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, and Joint Base Charleston. This position may require approximately 25% travel to support these locations

Responsibilities:- Diagnose malfunctions of major assemblies and subassemblies to determine the extent of repair or replacement requirements; recommend disposition of vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose, isolate malfunctions, repair vehicle electrical, emissions, and gasoline equipment.
- Inspect repaired or rebuilt parts and equipment to ensure work conforms to standards.
- Solve complex maintenance problems by interpreting layout drawings, specifications, schematics, diagrams and operating characteristics of vehicles and components.
- Use technical orders, commercial manuals or automated systems to determine maintenance procedures and research parts.
- Troubleshoot, adjust, repair and test vehicles.
- Assist in developing documents, processes, courseware and plans to instruct use and maintenance for unit watercraft and outboard engines.
- Schedule and complete routine preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
- Comply with unit guidance regarding use of inventory management tools and procedures.
- Conduct inventory of unit watercraft, engines and maritime equipment.
- Maintain and update government furnished regulations, publications and directives pertaining to unit waterborne operations.
- Maintain and repair air drop bundles, assigned watercraft, outboard engines in the most economical way possible.
- Ensure unit watercraft and engines are serviceable and in operational condition, and inflation systems are properly installed, as required.
- Maintain fuel bladders and ensure proper mixing of fuel/oil for 2- stroke outboard motors.
- Plan and schedule vehicle and equipment maintenance activities.
- Ensure vehicles, equipment, tools and parts are available to support unit missions.
- Ensure maintenance and supply documentation is complete and accurate.
- Facilitate training by assisting reception and bed down efforts prior to and during unit-led training activities.
- Provide small boat coxswain support for unit training and/or exercises.
- Provide small boat coxswain training for unit personnel, as required.
- Inspect and prepare vehicles required for training events.
- Following training and mission execution events, ensure equipment items are inventoried, restocked, resupplied and ready for subsequent training or mission events.
Qualifications:- Three (3) years’ experience and current certification in maintenance and repair of marine outboard engines and demonstrate experience and certification in small engine and watercraft and must have three years’ experience knowledge in Small Craft operation, Navigation and Rules of the Road, Seamanship and Maritime Communications
- A strong ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. This includes the ability to prepare and present briefings, papers, and presentations to senior leaders in the military and interagency. An ability to interact with military, contractors, and interagency personnel to build teams and maintain good working relationships.
- The ability to work independently to plan and complete assignments on time. The products are thorough, logical, meet objectives, and are grammatically correct.
- The ability to analyze complex problems and develop and articulate recommended plans and objectives that lead to resolution within existing policy or instruction guidance.
- The ability to understand and articulate orally and in writing the consequences (intended and unintended) in advance of actions or decisions.
- The ability to conceptualize, develop, and present mission-specific training or orientation courses for military personnel.
- The ability to produce high quality products and provide high quality recommendations that are consistent with a fiscally constrained mission environment.
Preferred Qualifications:- Previous experience in Guardian Angel operations
