AGC Electronics America (AGCEA) manufactures high-purity Silicon Carbide (SiC) Ceramics materials and CMP Slurries for the semiconductor industry. We also serve as a distributor for other AGC Electronics Materials manufactured in Japan and elsewhere. We are headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA, and are a division of AGC Flat Glass North America.
What We Offer
- Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
- On-call support after hours
- Hybrid Optional (3 days/week onsite) after first 90 days of employment
- $75,000.00 – $93,000.00 annually

About The Role
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant on-the-job experience in IT analysis, user support, and system/network administration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and systems, including both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft and VMware vSphere environments.
- Experience with system and network administration, including troubleshooting and resolving software, operating system, and networking issues.
- Familiarity with IT support tools and ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and end-users.
- Ability to conduct research on new technologies and implement efficient solutions.
- Experience in documenting procedures and providing technical training to users.
- Experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Experience with cybersecurity practices and tools.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for occasional travel to the office for after-hours support tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or VMware Certified Professional.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Knowledge of database management and SQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Project management experience or certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
- Experience in a global or multi-site IT environment.
Responsibilities:
- Regularly engage with stakeholders to understand and address end-user needs, ensuring solutions align with business requirements.
- Conduct research on new technologies and implement efficient solutions to enhance business operations.
- Work collaboratively with IT team members and stakeholders to design, develop, and implement computer solutions, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet design specifications.
- Offer comprehensive support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals, ensuring minimal downtime and high user satisfaction.
- Manage, test, and maintain on-premises and cloud IT systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Record procedures, create documentation, and provide technical training to users, ensuring they are well-informed and capable of using IT systems effectively.
- Use a ticketing system to monitor and respond to end-user support requests promptly, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Diagnose and resolve software, operating system, and networking problems to maintain system integrity and performance.
- Schedule, perform, and monitor system backups, and execute data recoveries as needed to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Remediate vulnerabilities, execute phishing simulations, and provide canned information security awareness training to enhance the organization’s security posture.
- Engage in global IT and IS projects and initiatives, contributing to the organization’s broader IT goals.
- Perform audits and other tasks related to regulatory and customer requirements, ensuring compliance and security.
- Participate in DR and BCP discussions, planning, and exercises to ensure preparedness for potential disruptions.
- Crosstrain with other IT members to provide backup coverage, ensuring continuity of IT services.
