JOB OVERVIEW
As a Controls Engineer at ACE, you will deliver projects to customers. Your primary job functions will include:
- Participating in the design, development, and documentation of systems which meet our customers’ requirements.
- Identifying gaps in existing OT networks and computing systems and making risk-based recommendations for improvement.
- Communicating with customers, both at the office and on-site, to present your work and come up with unique solutions.
- Designing and implementing OT network and cybersecurity measures to safeguard OT devices.
- Engaging with other ACE engineers to teach and learn project methodologies.
- Traveling to customer sites to implement and test project deliverables.
- Meeting with Project Managers and ACE ownership to assess project’s statuses, customer satisfaction and assist with mentoring less experienced ACE engineers.

EDUCATION
- Bachelors (or higher) degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Bioengineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Three (3) years of experience in manufacturing industries.
- Strong written and oral communication skills that allow you to communicate complicated control and cybersecurity concepts both internally and externally.
- Understanding of process control or other manufacturing processes.
- Prior experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS and MES technologies.
- Thorough knowledge of business application software (MS Office package).
- Displays a positive and professional demeanor.
- Demonstrates a flexible and cooperative working style.
- Willing to work off-hours when required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Willing to submit to drug testing and/or background checks as mandated for a) employment, and b) customer contract requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
- Certifications from Industry Technology Partners.
- Manufacturing cybersecurity certification such as GICSP, ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert, or equivalent a plus.
