ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS:
- Provides input and support to Chief Information Officer to meet defined organizational initiatives and goals, and to delineate the long-range direction of the organization's technology functions.
- Responsible for managing the implementation and maintenance of all technology under the domain of Sunset’s IT department, including workstations, network, server, VOIP, plus disaster mitigation and recovery, and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Acts as a liaison between Sunset IT department and other organizations, vendors, contractors, and businesses to assure the efficient development and initiation of new technology opportunities.
- Provides technical project management, planning, quality management, and system status reporting. Oversees the implementation of medical/dental technology projects, Pharmacy technology, financial applications, and overall administrative systems. Oversees paper file archiving, retrieval, and storage. Oversees the implementation of Cybersecurity initiatives.
- Utilizes standard project management tools and techniques to effectively coordinate projects.
- Participates in project management meetings and propose improvements if necessary.
- Communicates with vendors and users to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Monitors the daily progress of projects and implement strategies to maintain projects on track.
- Coordinates meetings with stakeholders, vendors, management, and team members to organizes project logistics, schedule, and budget.
- Supervises IT Technicians staff whose primary focus is the design and installation of server, network, workstations, application, and voice infrastructure. Accomplishes IT staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Supervises Cybersecurity Specialists.
- Responsible for preparing and maintaining IT departmental budgets; monitoring computer related expenses and revenue; evaluate and analyze data; strategically forecast fiscal year needs.
- Provides training for employees and managers by researching and designing training programs, identifying learning objectives, identifying learning requirements, selecting instructional methodologies, selecting, and utilizing training media, assessing application of learning to job performance, recommending future training and development programs, and preparing training/resource manuals.
- Implements user-trainings and employee-training associated to the managed projects.
- Contribute to team effort and complies with all facility policies and procedures including but not limited to those addressing HIPAA and Compliance and performing Security Risk assessments.
- Maintain exceptional level of customer service; address and resolve complaints; serve as an example by providing excellent service to internal and external customers, employees, and patients. Demonstrate and model Sunset Standards in all interactions with patients, co-workers, and visitors. Ensure staff consistently uses and applies standards with all customers and ensure staff is trained periodically on customer service expectations.
- Provide a safe and free from hazards work environment; immediately address safety issues or potential hazards; ensure workstations are ergonomically correct. Participates in all safety programs, which may include assignment to an emergency response team.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct Reporting: IT Technicians and Cybersecurity Specialists.
Scope of Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for providing daily supervision to those directly and indirectly reporting. This includes the functions of scheduling, time records, daily activities, conflict resolution, c corrective actions, hiring and firing recommendations, 90-day performance evaluation and annual performance evaluations.
Indirect reporting: None.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s in technology field is required. Must have specific knowledge in Windows environment, MS Active Directory, Server management, MS Exchange, SharePoint, Azure, Network administration; Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Azure, ITIL Framework, Project Management, Network preferred. The candidate must demonstrate 5+ years of experience working in technology field with 2+ years’ experience a team leader, subject matter expert (SME), or supervisory role. Previous experience working in a healthcare environment preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Advanced public speaking skills. Ability to speak professionally and effectively in formal and informal settings before large and small groups of employees, as well as internal/external clients or representatives in both formal and informal settings. Skills in preparing written analytical reports, forms, summaries, critiques, and any related documentation within established timeframes. A comprehensive understanding and knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, spelling, and usage skills. Ability to explain things to other staff members with little difficulty.
COMPUTER AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Advanced skills in successfully operating computer equipment and general software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, database programs, as well as advanced knowledge and skill working with enterprise software programs. Ability and skill in correctly utilizing advanced mathematical, algebraic, and statistical calculations or concepts to all work processing. An advanced awareness and proficiency with instructional techniques and utilizing new and available technologies applicable to the subject matter areas and/or program/system software.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to independently define problems, collect data, establish facts, implement systems, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to demonstrate effective problem-solving skills; as well as successful prioritization of all assigned tasks and workloads to meet all assigned deadlines and timelines. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and respond to several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to identify potential solutions to problems and to outline the steps necessary to resolving a problem.
