About this role
We are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineering Lead to oversee the QA processes for our enterprise software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development, cloud technologies, and Kubernetes clusters. The Test Engineering Lead will ensure the highest quality of standards and provide Escalation support through excellent communication and in-depth technology aptitude through prior experience and education to learn the Adaptiva product line.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the QA Team: Oversee and guide the QA team to ensure that the highest quality standards are consistently met in all deliverables, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- Collaborate with Support Team for Issue Resolution: Work closely with the support team to identify product escalations, diagnose issues, and facilitate resolution of bugs and defects as part of the ongoing QA process. Ensure timely fixes and improvements are delivered to enhance product quality.
- Develop and Implement Testing Methodologies: Create, implement, and maintain comprehensive testing methodologies and pipelines for enterprise-level applications to ensure robust testing coverage and product stability.
- Transition to Cloud-Based CI/CD Pipelines: Lead the migration to cloud-based continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring a smooth and efficient integration and deployment process.
- Design and Implement Automated Testing Frameworks: Design and develop automated testing frameworks, including UI automation, to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency across testing cycles.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and ensure all aspects of the system are covered by thorough, comprehensive testing.
- Execute and Track Testing Pipelines: Work with stakeholders to execute testing pipelines, monitor testing progress, and provide detailed metrics and results that demonstrate the quality of the product.
- Troubleshoot Complex Issues: Utilize logical reasoning and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot, identify, and resolve complex issues and system defects, ensuring continuous improvement in product quality.
- Project Management: Use project management tools such as JIRA to track project progress, manage testing timelines, and ensure all milestones and deadlines are met.
- Ensure Compliance with Industry Standards: Stay up to date with industry standards and best practices in QA processes, ensuring that all testing procedures comply with relevant guidelines and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Lead working with enterprise software, demonstrating leadership in managing QA teams and ensuring high-quality standards.
- Experience with Escalation Management in an enterprise software environment, applying best practices for issue resolution and bug fixes as part of the QA process.
- Deep understanding of the System Management domain and complex enterprise software platforms, with the ability to navigate and improve large-scale, multifaceted systems.
- Strong knowledge of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices, including testing types, automation frameworks, and continuous integration.
- Solid understanding of software development principles and practices, with a focus on agile methodologies and test-driven development (TDD).
- Expertise in cloud technologies, including experience with Kubernetes clusters and cloud-based CI/CD pipelines to enable scalable and efficient deployments.
- Proficiency in Java and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, etc.) to support Adaptiva’s feature development and contribute to improving products.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that defects are identified, understood, and resolved efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams (e.g., support, development) to drive new features and improve existing product lines.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $100,000 to $110,000. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
