DescriptionThe Enterprise Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping an organization’s technology landscape. With a wealth of experience, this strategic leader collaborates closely with key stakeholders, including the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Product Leadership Team, and Business Unit leaders. Their mission is to drive technology decisions, define robust standards, establish governance, and manage risks, resulting in a cohesive and efficient technology environment.
This role reports into the Chief Information Officer and is responsible for all aspects of Enterprise Architecture across Financial Advisory Services, Risk Advisory Services, and Enterprise Solutions.
Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership:
- Lead the Enterprise Architecture team, setting the vision, strategy, and standards for the entire organization.
- Establish domain-specific standards, near-term (0-18 months) and mid-term (18-60 months) roadmaps aligned with Enterprise standards and overall strategy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to envision future-state technologies and architectures, ensuring alignment with Enterprise standards and delivering a long-term strategy.
- Technology Solutions:
- Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions, ensuring optimal usefulness and alignment with specific technical domains.
- Leverage existing technologies effectively, understanding their system-wide impacts.
- Champion innovation and stay abreast of emerging (technology) trends to enhance the organization’s competitive advantage.
- Strategic Partnership:
- Act as a trusted advisor to business unit leaders, product teams, and corporate functions.
- Establish strong relationships to deeply understand business needs and respond to evolving priorities.
- Partner with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) on cybersecurity strategy and architecture to protect company assets, applications, and information.
- Collaboration and Delivery:
- Collaborate closely with product strategy teams to deliver on both commercial and internal technology solutions.
- Drive alignment between technology initiatives and business goals.
- Organizational Strategy:
- Work closely with the CIO to develop and implement organizational strategies.
- Monitor market trends and technological developments, identifying opportunities to enhance the company’s value proposition and deliver technology services efficiently.
- Establish and drive implementation of standards and methodologies (TOGAF, SAFe, SSDF, etc.)
- Risk Management:
- Assess and mitigate risks related to technology decisions and implementations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess:
- Proven Experience:
- At least 15 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect or equivalent role.
- A track record of successfully shaping technology landscapes within large organizations.
- Previous successes in Enterprise Architecture roles.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong understanding of application/product development, infrastructure, data
- Knowledge of the latest proven and emerging technologies, with the ability to integrate them into business and technical architectural strategies.
- Experience building and maintaining software solutions lasting multiple years.
- Designing and building products and services that simplify the overall technical environment and support processes.
- Leadership and Communication:
- Exceptional leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
- High P&L acumen with a proven appreciation for meeting financial commitments and delivering high-value solutions.
- Education:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, a master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics is preferred.
The salary range for this position is $200,000 - $500,000.
