What you will do:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze technologies and establish effective processes and protocols to ensure comprehensive protection exists to prevent unauthorized entry into company networks and systems
- Develop security policies based on best practices to protect against threats from hackers, viruses, malware, and other security risks
- Monitor network and security systems for potential vulnerabilities or intrusion attempts
- Manage the installation and updates of endpoint protection software and other security products on company computers to protect against viruses and malware
- Perform or arrange penetration testing to identify security vulnerabilities in MAC computer systems or networks
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of network user accounts to ensure only authorized individuals have access to company data and software
- Monitor network performance to ensure that applications are working properly and efficiently
- Review logs to identify misuse of network resources or attempts to breach security protocols
- Develop and implement training programs for fellow employees and new hires regarding security awareness, current policies, and procedures
- Document, prioritize, and formally report incidents, root cause analyses, and after-action reviews
- Contribute to and develop cybersecurity response and remediation policies to ensure timely restoration of service in the event of an incident
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience

- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One or multiple of the following security certifications preferred:
- Security+
- CISM
- CISA
- CEH
- Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Associate
- Microsoft Security, Compliance and Identity Fundamentals
Understanding or Knowledge of the following:

- Firewall configurations (Cloud and On-Prem)
