Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and mission-driven Game Developer to design and develop cutting-edge training applications for the U.S. Army. This role combines creative game development with practical, scenario-based training needs, empowering soldiers with innovative simulation tools. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, military training experts, and software engineers, to create interactive applications that simulate real-world scenarios, enhance critical thinking, and strengthen decision-making skills in high-stakes environments.
What You�ll Do
- Design & Development: Build and code engaging training applications using game development software (Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar platforms).
- Scenario Simulation: Create immersive, realistic scenarios that replicate military training environments for soldier skill development.
- Collaboration: Work with military training experts to ensure that applications align with Army training objectives and offer practical, hands-on learning experiences.
- Innovation: Develop unique interactive features that can handle real-time decision-making, response adaptability, and feedback mechanisms for a comprehensive learning experience.
- Testing & Iteration: Conduct usability testing with end-users, analyze feedback, and iterate to enhance the training value of applications.
- Performance Optimization: Ensure that applications run efficiently on a variety of hardware setups used by the Army.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor�s degree in game design, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in game development with a portfolio of completed projects. Prior experience with simulation or training applications is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in C++ or C# and expertise in Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Strong understanding of 3D modeling, animation, and physics in game design.
- Experience with VR/AR technology is a plus.
- Familiarity with performance profiling and optimization tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative team spirit. Able to adapt to and understand military training requirements.
- United States Citizen
- Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to receive one
