What you’ll be doing
- Resolving core service performance issues at scale
- Building secure and compliant platform products that address customer needs
- Writing high-quality, robustly tested code, primarily in Java
- Understanding customer problems to develop appropriate solutions
- Documenting work to support a rapidly scaling company
- Interfacing with various domains within the company to strengthen the platform
What we are looking for
- 8+ years of experience in building production software systems
- Expertise in threading, optimizations, performance tuning, and concurrency management
- Deep understanding of Java frameworks (including Spring), resiliency, and encryption libraries
- A history of writing scalable, performant, and maintainable code
- Excitement about shipping customer-centric software
- Experience with Java >= 11, JPA ORM mapping, crafting SQLs, unit and integration testing
Bonus skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS
- Familiarity with SpringBoot, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Experience with big data technologies such as BigQuery and RedShift
- Deep understanding of payment systems

Our client has a total rewards philosophy that includes fair, equitable, geo-based compensation that is performance and potential based. Compensation packages are competitive based on robust market research and consist of cash salary, equity, and benefits. In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual salary range for applicants is $170,000-$230,000.
Please note that positions located in San Francisco are hybrid, with core working days of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the office. Flexible work options are provided based on distance from the downtown SF office. The company values the power of face-to-face, personal connections, and prioritizes in-person candidates.
