CBU: GGA (Glovis Georgia)
PURPOSE:
We need a talented Software Engineer level 2 to work onsite in West Point, GA. Will respond to production problems and implement immediate resolution efforts related business applications/systems for Hyundai/Kia Motors Manufacturing & Glovis in West Point, Georgia.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Develop and implements the changes within applications while maintaining the system
• Configure the hardware and software of a system
• Translate business needs and requirements into specifications
• Act as liaison between the department and other business units
• Develop and maintain system documentation
• Build test scenarios for business procedures
• Identify the existing system problems or enhancements which impact production, and provide the solutions
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management
SCOPES:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY - N/A
DECISION MAKING/DISCRETION -Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
RESULTS - Ability to present and convey towards various audience types – All levels up and down.
STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT - Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
EDUCATION - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software design or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years' experience in the IT field, 3 years or more application development experiences,
Large/enterprise application development experience preferred.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
• Strong Knowledge on Java, JavaScript, J2EE/JSP/Servlets
• node.js+Angular preferred
• Strong knowledge of SQL
• Analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated ability to understand customers business requirements and processes and find solutions to complex and difficult issue
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficient in developing business requirements documentation, process flows, status reports, and presentations.
• Strong written and oral communications skills
CERTIFICATIONS - Oracle Certified Associate Java Programmer (OCAJP) preferred, Oracle SQL certificate is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read information.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT -Employee must be able to use a telephone, computer, keyboard, printer, copy machine, Microsoft Word, Excel
TRAVEL TIME - Day trip to clients on need basis.
