Description
We are seeking a Sr. Ruby on Rails Software Engineer in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role involves building and consuming RESTful web services, software engineering in the Ruby on Rails programming language, and working within a Linux environment. This contract to hire position offers the chance to work within a fast-paced environment, fostering multi-functional team communications.
Responsibilities:
Develop software solutions using the Ruby on Rails programming language.
Consume and build web APIs and micro-services patterns.
Work with MySQL or other relational database management systems.
Utilize Linux for software engineering tasks.
Collaborate in a fast-paced environment and communicate with multi-functional teams.
Utilize NoSQL database information access and development.
Handle tasks and challenges by taking the initiative and assuming ownership of development tasks and activities.
Utilize Backend Development and Client Side Scripting.
Work with Cloud Technologies and API Development.
Foster a deep understanding of Web APIs and micro-service patterns.
Implement Java API for RESTful Web Services.
Requirements
Proficiency in Backend Development, including the ability to understand and implement complex algorithms.
Experience with Client Side Scripting, demonstrating the ability to create interactive user interfaces.
Familiarity with Cloud Technologies, including deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment.
Experience in API Development, specifically in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs.
Expertise in Ruby on Rails and Ruby Rails, with the ability to code, debug, and test software applications.
Knowledge of Web API, Microservices, RESTful Service and Java API for RESTful Web Services, demonstrating the ability to create scalable and maintainable services.
Proficiency in Linux, showcasing the capability to work in different operating systems.
Experience with MySQL and NoSQL databases, including the ability to design, implement, and manage databases.
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
