The essential duties and responsibilities for this role will require you to do the following:
- Create new APIs and services for new and existing products
- Contribute to development of web crawling and data processing services
- Refactor code base time to time
- Performance optimizations and cost reducing practices
Education and work experience requirements are:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Minimum 8+ years of full-time hands-on experience
- Strong CS background
- A background in refactoring large-scale systems
- Strong experience with Selenium, Beautiful Soup and web crawling techniques
- Strong experience in Python for development of applications and APIs
To be considered for this position, you would need to meet, at a minimum, the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed here:
- Proven track record of launching and maintaining large-scale web products
- A good foundational knowledge of OOP languages, operating systems, data structures, algorithms, and complexity trade-offs
- Solid knowledge of SOLID, TDD principles
- Knowledge of Elastic Beanstalk and other AWS services
- Strong communications skills both written and verbal
Extra Points for:
- Experience with relational or columnar databases (like AWS Redshift)
This position has potential to be promoted to Director or VP of Engineering for the right candidate.

Base salary is only part of your total compensation and rewards package, this role is eligible for a new hire equity grant in the form of stock options and a bonus plan.
Base salary range: $140-180k
