Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics, Computer Science or a closely related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software development with a focus on computer vision and/or robotics.
- Strong proficiency in perception libraries such as OpenCV, PCL, Open3D.
- Demonstrated ability in machine learning and algorithm evaluation.
- Strong development expertise in Python and C++.
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Apply new perception and learning algorithms to real-world problems.
- Provide technical leadership on key projects.
- Manage execution of technical efforts across a small team.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Operate autonomously.
- Develop on and debug real robotic systems.
- Determine and communicate justification of technical priorities.
- Familiarity with system design, and design patterns.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics, Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Practical experience with machine vision (RGB and grayscale 2D cameras, 3D sensors).
- Familiarity with modern deep learning techniques such as CNN/ViTs
- Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch
- Experience with annotation tools like Scale, CVAT, etc.
- Demonstrated ability in grasp point generation, object detection, point cloud processing, anomaly detection, or automatic sensor calibration.
- Experience in API development, including RESTful services, and/or gRPC.
- Robotic manipulation experience.
- Understanding of parallel/distributed systems and asynchronous/concurrent programming.
- Knowledge of the material handling field.
- Experience with the Robotic Operation System.
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB).
