Nextworld builds a forward-thinking, no-code, cloud-based development and runtime platform with robust capabilities for enterprise applications.
We are looking for a skilled software developer who is ready to take ownership of key components within our platform, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of features that support cross-team initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone with a team-first mentality, eager to grow their technical abilities, and enthusiastic about collaborating with and learning from peers. Candidates should aim to have many of the qualifications listed below.
Knowledge and Skills
- Java / JUnit
- SQL (experience with database management, indexes, and query optimization)
- HTTP Interfaces (e.g., REST, WebSockets)
- Object-Oriented Design Patterns
- Microservices Architecture Basics
- Understanding of Agile / Scrum Methodologies
- System Design
- Microservices
Professional Experience:
- 3+ years' programming experience, ideally with object-oriented languages, such as Java.
- Professional experience developing, testing, and maintaining software components and services.
Technical Skills:
- System Design: Understanding of fundamental system design concepts with the ability to contribute to scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Database Interaction: Familiarity with integrating database services and optimizing queries.
- Microservices: Some experience working within a microservices-based system architecture.
- Testing and Debugging: Proficient in testing programs and applications to ensure reliability and efficiency.
Core Competencies:
- Team Collaboration: Works effectively within and across teams to achieve project goals.
- Problem Solving: Analyzes and resolves issues independently; supports team with solutions.
- Mentorship: Provides guidance to junior team members as needed.
- Agile Development: Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies and their application in software development.
Starting Salary Range: $100K - $140K per year

Position located in Greenwood Village, CO. Nextworld's hybrid model has co-location in-office days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
About the Team We build the no-code enterprise application platform (a.k.a. “EAP”) that is used by Nextworld’s customers and partners to create and run enterprise-grade business solutions. We have a knack for abstracting complex technical concepts into no-code facilities that are straightforward to use. The Platform allows for the development and execution of involved, integrated business applications — complete with workflow, business logic, eventing, external callouts, notifications, various user experiences, artificial intelligence, and more. Examples of applications suites built on the Platform are enterprise financials, sales, inventory, manufacturing, and real estate.
