This position supports the United States Marine Corps’ Program Executive Office Land Systems (PEO LS). An acquisition Software Engineer II involves analyzing Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) designs and production validation test results to ensure compliance with design specifications and requirements. As a hybrid position, you will be expected to be in the office per the government’s requirements, but normally 2-3 days a week. This job will require some travel (about once a quarter).
Primary duties will include:
- Analyze OEM Design, Engineering, and Production Validation test results to verify product compliance with design specifications.
- Collaborate on software development projects with a focus on interoperability and system evaluation.
- Conduct test evaluations to ensure products meet required standards and specifications.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure the integration of software with hardware systems and maintain product quality.
- Assist in developing and maintaining technical documentation and reports.
Requirements - Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in commercial software development, system interoperability, and test evaluation.
- Familiarity with DODAF architecture frameworks and cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- ·Will be required to follow all Federal COVID-19 protocols as they pertain to contractors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in DoD or aerospace industry software engineering.
- Familiarity with systems integration and OEM analysis.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices within a DoD environment.
