C4ISR is looking for a proven and experienced technical leader to serve as the Lead Software Engineer for the AIR6500 Joint Air Battle Management System (JABMS) program. AIR6500 is delivering JADC2 capability to the Royal Australian Air Force through large scale fully agile development and delivery. This position will be a 1-year EXPAT position based in Adelaide, Australia. The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for the technical integrity and quality of the AIR6500 software baseline.
The AIR6500 Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for the following:
• Act as the single POC/Lead for the Software Engineering (SWE) activities on the program
• Ensure that the program’s SW processes/procedures are defined (in compliance with appropriate policies, processes, procedures, and contract requirements) and followed
• Address staffing, resource, and infrastructure needs for SW; ensure that the SW discipline is represented as appropriate on the Product Teams
• Develop, maintain, and ensure implementation of the SW Development Plan (SDP); establish and track SW TPMs
• Ensure the flow down of SW requirements to subcontractors
• Be responsible for SW cost, schedule, technical performance; provide an integrated SW solution to the program
• Ensure the quality of the SW work products
Define the peer reviews required for each work product in the SDP.
• Support the SW Architect in understanding and managing the technical effects of changes to the baseline throughout the lifecycle within cost and schedule constraints
• Monitor DTC targets
• Participate in risk and opportunity management
• Champion continuous improvement activities for the SW discipline and adopt 1LMX techniques and approaches
• Support SW discipline representatives in Product Teams in the resolution of programmatic and organizational issues and conflicts
• Participate in PIT/SEIT
• Report status and issues for SW activities to the PIT/SEIT and functional management

Basic Qualifications• Previous experience with leading a large software engineering team (~40+)
• Previous experience as a Lead SW Engineer on a fully agile large-scale model-based engineering program
• Previous knowledge & experience with implementation of: software coding standards, SW configuration management, SW design documentation, unit test coverage, static code analysis, SW component level testing and SW integration and testing
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of agile software engineering processes, software architecture development, product development, and integration & test
• Demonstrated ability to provide clear guidance and direction to team and prioritizing competing requirements.
• Prior experience with application and implementation of Digital Transformation processes and tools
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. • Proven ability to communicate well with peers and different levels of leadership, including executive leadership
• Prior CAM experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally
• Demonstrated experience in motivating, inspiring, and teaching others to accomplish program objectives
Desired skills• Prior experience with large international development programs
• Experience with both cost plus and fixed priced contracts

Ability to work remotelyOnsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $123,500 - $236,800 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
