OVERVIEW:
Flexjet is currently seeking a talented Software Engineer who is passionate about innovation in both Web Technologies and DevOps processes to join our development team. This engineering role is responsible for both software development as well as working with DevOps technologies to support our teams varied projects and initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting high performance and high availability web applications utilized throughout the business.
- Analyze technical requirements to design new components and applications.
- Manage new and existing products and applications throughout their lifecycle.
- Introduce new solutions to the product and to your colleagues when appropriate for the business needs.
- Keep abreast of advancements in technologies and development techniques.
- Interact with all departments and end users acting in development, technical design, and support roles.
- Work with the DevOps team to support and improve the processes surrounding our software development lifecycle.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years as a software developer
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), Relational databases, microservices architecture, and computer science foundations.
- Experience working with Agile methodology.
- Experience in development of front-end websites, services/APIs, and databases
- Experience in DevOps technologies such as Terraform, Helm, Bicep, and Kubernetes.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working knowledge of .NET Framework 4.5+, .NET Core, Visual Studio, C#, and front-end frameworks (preferably Angular).
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software as necessary.
- Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
- Candidate should be self-motivated, and work well both independently and with a team.
- Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills that promote and foster a team culture.
- Candidate should drive towards team solutions instead of independent heroism.
