TL;DR Kharon is seeking a full-time, U.S.-based Senior Software Engineer. This role can be fully remote if you are not located near one of our hub locations in Denver, NYC, LA or DC. Those local or willing to relocate are required to follow our hybrid working model.
Responsibilities:
Provide mentorship and guidance to fellow engineers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth.
Lead and drive the development and deployment of product features, ensuring alignment with the entire development lifecycle and Kharon’s strategic objectives, while demonstrating leadership and technical acumen.
Spearhead the decision-making process for application architecture, ensuring scalability, robustness, and alignment with strategic goals.
Champion code quality and organization, implementing standards and practices that ensure excellence and maintainability.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software anomalies and bugs, applying expertise to ensure stability and reliability.
Facilitate effective collaboration among engineers, designers, and product managers, ensuring that engineering efforts are integrated and aligned with cross-functional objectives.
Engage actively in the Agile software development lifecycle, embodying its principles to enhance team agility and product quality.
Craft well-designed, maintainable, and testable code, exemplifying best practices in software engineering and contributing to the team's success.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience developing web-based applications
Demonstrated experience with and understanding of Java, JavaScript, Vue.js, Neo4j, Python, and PostgreSQL (part of our stack) + AWS.
Experience writing software tests and creating developer documentation
Bonus: Experience with a modern front-end framework/library

Leading the development and deployment of pivotal Kharon product features, this role will be critical to ensuring alignment with the entire development lifecycle and Kharon’s strategic objectives. Demonstrating leadership and technical acumen, this role is not just about maintaining what exists; it offers the chance to own significant, strategic projects that propel Kharon’s engineering and product endeavors forward. Under the guidance of the SVP of Engineering, your influence will extend beyond product development — you'll be instrumental in scaling our engineering prowess itself.

By spearheading collaborations across the engineering, design, and product management teams, you'll reinforce our efforts to be cohesive and strategically aligned. Your engagement in the Agile development lifecycle and your dedication to crafting exemplary code will underscore our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in an ever-evolving tech landscape.

The base salary range at Kharon is set between $150,000 and $200,000. Please note that this figure does not necessarily include potential bonuses, commissions, benefits, or equity that may be part of the overall compensation package.
