Responsibilities for this Position
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As a software engineer for General Dynamics Mission Systems in Quincy, MA, you will:
Lead and individually contribute to a software team responsible for designing and developing state-of-the-art applications for unmanned undersea vehicles.
Develop software encompassing the full life-cycle of these systems, from embedded vehicle control code to GUI-based topside tools for planning and monitoring missions.

Excellent programming skills, specifically in C/C++
User interface Web Development experience is a plus
Able to work both independently and as part of a product development team
Linux and Windows experience is highly desirable; hardware experience is a plus

Solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Workplace Options:
This position is Flex On Site (time in office >50%, typically 3-4 days per week). You will be a member of the Quincy software team.
Target salary range: USD $124,000.00/Yr. - USD $147,000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
