As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within our Consumer & Community Banking and Operations Technology division, your role will be crucial in significantly contributing to an agile team. Your primary responsibilities will include the development, improvement, and delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable technology products. As an essential technical contributor, you will be responsible for creating critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains, aiding various business functions in accomplishing the company's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
- Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.
- Technology: Core Java, J2EE-JDBC, JMS, , NoSQL dB, Embedded dB.
- Client-side technologies: JavaScript, React, ReactJS, Node.js and NPM.
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
- Practical cloud native experience.
- Experience in design, development, and management of web applications and micro-services.
- In-depth understanding of Front-end client technologies and development patterns.

- Application Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security.
- SOA: REST and SOAP based services using JSON/XML messages.
- Testing Frameworks: Spring JUnit, Mockito, Power Mock, DBUnit.
- Database: Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Mongo Db, Derby.
- Operating Systems: Linux, Unix Solaris.
