As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector, Workforce Technology team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Understands software solutions, design, development, and assist in technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to break down technical problems.
- Assist with the onboarding process of third-party applications from a technology perspective in accordance with JPMC standards and controls.
- Routinely engage with supporting technology teams, i.e. architecture, Information Security managers, Resiliency and SRE to understand new requirements, continuously improve processes through ongoing feedback & ensure compliance is maintained
- Manage all risks and controls for assigned applications in accordance with firm wide standards.
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to application hygiene and system architecture.
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
- Understanding of application onboarding and support processes including Identity & Access management and Single Sign-On processes.
- Experience managing multiple parallel tracks of related and unrelated bodies of work simultaneously
- Team player that works well with others and can easily adapt to constant changing and dynamic environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
