DescriptionSoftware Engineer
This position requires an active Secret clearance.
A Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and systems. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and translate them into functional code. Key responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, performing software testing and debugging, and participating in code reviews. Software Engineers also stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the software solutions are robust, scalable, and secure.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Estimated Starting Salary Range for Software Engineer: $105,000 to $116,000.
- Pay commensurate with experience.
- Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Software Engineer Responsibilities Include:
- Develop software implementations using a variety of software languages, applications, and frameworks.
- Design, develop, and adapt mathematical models, statistical methods, and computer science techniques to solve complex technical problems.
- Create full software stack solutions including web front-end development, database storage and management systems, application deployment, and technical support.
- Independent task execution in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Present technical information at external conferences, sponsor meetings, and team status meetings. Contribute to documentation and technical publications.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Software Engineer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Physics with at least 15 semester hours in mathematics or statistics, 5 + years’ experience; OR
- MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Physics with at least 15 semester hours in mathematics or statistics, + 2-5 years’ experience; OR
- PhD Computer Science with at least 15 semester hours in mathematics or statistics, + 1-2 years’ experience.
- Ability to design and develop complex software applications.
- Experience using experimental, engineering, and statistical data to generate statistically conclusive results.
- Skills in test-driven software development under Agile project management and git source control
- Advanced programming skills in C/C++, Python, C#, JAVA, JavaScript
- Working knowledge of project management principles and experience communicating project status.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
